Melinda Stephenson, Chief Executive Officer of Kingwood Medical Center, joined the Kingwood team in June of 2009. As the new CEO, she plans to continue the strategies that have afforded the hospital unprecedented growth and success the past five years. Kingwood Medical Center is a community leader in quality outcomes, physician and employee engagement and community relations.

Stephenson joins Kingwood Medical Center with a history of accomplishments with HCA. Most recently, she served as CEO of Mainland Medical Center for four years. Prior to that she served as the Chief Operating Officer as well as the Chief Nursing Officer of Clear Lake Regional Medical Center for eight and four years, respectively.

Stephenson earned an MBA from the University of Houston at Clear Lake and possesses a BSN from the University of Texas. Additionally, she is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
